At LM2, we currently have two specialized labs: the Microsystems and Advanced Materials Laboratory led by Daniel Therriault and the Laboratory for Intelligent Structures headed by Sampada Bodhke. We continually update our facilities with new equipment, and we are excited to announce that David Melancon will soon have a dedicated lab as well.

The stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer, Formlabs, Form 2 is used to create solid isotropic parts from a liquid photopolymer resin.

This 6-axis Fanuc robot arm is used to handle custom designed printheads. With a reach of 1.8 m, we use it to print large parts made of thermoplastic and thermosetting materials at high speed on non-planar surfaces.- Arm reach: 1853 mm

The Bambu Lab X1E is a high-performance 3D printer designed for precision and speed. LM2 has a total of 6 Bambu Lab X1E printers, with different nozzle sizes: 0.2mm (1), 0.4mm (3), 0.6mm (1), and 0.8mm (1)
The Prusa XL is a high-end, large-format 3D printer designed for precision and scalability.
