\u00c9tienne Leclerc<\/a> presented his research on a metamaterial-enhanced structure for electric motors, developed using finite element simulations. His work shows how metamaterials can help control structural behavior under centrifugal forces \u2014 paving the way for more efficient motor designs.

Dorian Stefan Dumitru<\/a> shared his work on a deployable mechanism for electromagnetic deorbiting of satellites. Leveraging electrodynamic tether technology, his analysis highlights how nonlinear tether geometry influences deorbiting performance \u2014 offering a lightweight alternative to conventional methods.

Zhen Yang<\/a> presented a fascinating study on the inflation of a balloon with a leaking hole. His research explores how elasticity and fluid mechanics interact to shape the balloon\u2019s deployed geometry \u2014 revealing new possibilities for designing load-bearing structures with tunable stiffness and dissipation.

Srijani Basak<\/a> showcased her work on additive manufacturing of biomedical implants using smart materials.
